More Food!! Nomnomnom!!

I'm calling these Tanya's Ultimate in honor of Tyler Florence's show on the Food Network. Here are some of our FAVORITE food and recipes so you can make them too!

The most amazing blueberry muffins (try them with some lemon too!). The recipe is from allrecipes.com and is aptly name To-Die-For-Blueberry Muffins.

Restaurant style salsa. I HEART going out to eat at sit down Mexican restaurants just for the chips and salsa they give you! I can't get enough of it. Typically I get full from snarfing down the chips and salsa before my food is ever brought to the table. But that's ok because salsa is just glorified veggies right? And you can NEVER find the same type of salsa in the store to bring home, so you need to make the most of it while at the restaurant. NOT ANY MORE. This salsa recipe, courtesy of the amazing Pioneer Woman, Ree, rivals ANY Mexican restaurant's table salsa, no problem. Just FYI I doubled everything except the tomatoes (on accident the first time and on purpose every time after that) and it's super delicious!

Notice the lack of jalapeƱos? Yeah that's because I didn't remember that we need any until we're driving out of the Win-Co parking lot. It was still yummy just not as HAWT.

No-name Egg/Bacon/Cheesey Goodness Breakfast Muffins. I think the name says it all. I made this for the first time this morning. I'm pretty sure I'll make it again for breakfast tomorrow if I can get my lazy butt to the store tonight to get some english muffins. This recipe is ADAPTED from Mrs. Ree (again) over at the Pioneer Woman. She has a whole farm to feed, and while it seems like the girls are going to eat me out of house and home sometimes, I didn't think I need to use a whole dozen eggs for their breakfast.

Ingredients:
4 eggs - had boiled, peeled and chopped
6 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 cup grated cheese (maybe more I didn't measure this)
1 HEAPING tablespoon of mayo
salt/pepper
garlic powder
4 whole english muffins, split

Directions:
Combine everything in a bowl, spoon on to english muffins, then broil until hot and golden!! Eat quickly before anyone in the house realizes the goodness you've made.
Before going under the broiler

  1. I may have to find some non-cow-cheese just so I can try those breakfast muffins. They look delicious!
